Tattnall Community Hospital
Tattnall Community Hospital is once again struggling to stay alive. This seems to be a recurring problem every few years. In order to keep the doors open this time, new owners, Frontier Health, say that the county and city of Reidsville need to go together and sign a $4 million bond. What!!?? Obligating the taxpayers for $4 million to pay debts left by Resurgence (former hospital owners) seems absurd. It appears Resurgence has left Tattnall County high and dry, taking all the hospital profits with them, and leaving behind thousands of dollars of debt. I realize the majority of the county (and especially Reidsville) wants to keep the hospital open but there comes a time when enough is enough.

Hello all, I am James M Stanger, Jr., COO Tattnall Community Hospital. Please realize that a bond issue would not cost the taxpayers any money, it would be paid by the hospital. Also note, we are a not-for-profit corporation that have the experience to make hospitals like this work and serve the community. We also are tired of the for profit barrons that have robbed hard working communities like Tattnall County and that is how we formed our corporation to forge a new "Frontier" in small rural healthcare.
Yep. I agree. Bringing in outsiders is not the answer. However, it seems that the hospital has a problem with equipment being out of date causing patients to become "scared" if I may say to use the facility. I was a patient in the hospital about a year ago with complications from a surgery, and the nurses didn't seem to really be concerned or care about there patients.I think if the county could get it back and maybe somehow get some modern up to date machines then people would feel more comfortable with the facility.
I also am worried about my Doctor, I use one of the clinics owned by the hospital. We as patients are sort of being "left up in the air" if I might say. We don't know from one day to the next if we are going to have a doctor, or if we are going to have to find another one. But, I must end with saying that we need to pray about it, put it in God's hands, and have the faith to beleive in him for the best.
A few questions for Mr. Byrns and Mr.Stanger:
When making negoations with Resurgence, did they not tell you about the debt load at Tattnall Community Hospital?
I agree with former employee. I just can't believe someone would jump right into this messy ordeal without knowing what they were getting themselve's into.
If citizens would like to know the whole story, check Resurgence history in Terrell, Texas. The same thing happened there, they took all of the cash and suddenly sold the hospital. Tattnall Community Hospital had great potential and was very profitable until being raped and pillaged by Resurgence.
I believe the idiots that are running it now have been paid by Resurgence to close the hospital. They disappear to where ever they came from, and everybody involved sleeps like a baby. They have no apparent interest in the wellbeing of the citizens of Tattnall County nor do they care.
It amazes me and breaks my heart that instead of recruiting physicians, they are running them off.
You make me laugh James. You're thinking the people of Tattnall county should give you a loan so you can run away with it too? Don't be absurd !
James, you have formed a coporation that protects you from getting hurt from not paying back the bonds. The people of Tattnall county have no such "GET AWAY FREE PLAN". We have to live here and pay for the sins of the past and possibly the sins of your future with our increased taxes. If you are so great, as you have stated you are, then make it work in Tattnall County. Like others have noted, I'm sure you didn't take this on without knowing what you were getting into. Of course not, you're too smart for that.....
We have three doctors that really send patients to Tattnall hospital. I've heard that one of them(Dr. Smith) is leaving as soon as he can. And, today I heard that you fired another doctor. If you only had three doctors to begin with, then it sounds like you will only have one in the future. Does that make sense for Tattnall County, I think NOT ! Maybe you aren't thinking about the people of Tattnall County/Reidsville either.
Have a blessed Day !
If the new owners are a "not-for-profit corporation that have the experience to make hospitals like this work and serve the community," then why not enlighten the citizens of Tattnall County about that experience. What hospitals have you taken over and made work? Where are they? Let us contact the communities that you've served to hear the great things they might say about you. I'm sure they're more than ready to sing your praises. Maybe their positive comments will offset those of the Tattnall citizens who have already lost their jobs as part of your "serv[ing] the community." You also need to prove to us how you have "formed [your] coporation" without the backing of the "profit barrons" you are criticizing. Prove that you're here to "forge a new 'Frontier'" and not rape it yet again.
I am glad someone wants to come help the hospital. I know Resurgence left a bad taste in our mouths, but should we bite off our noses to spite our faces???? Our community needs this hospital and the hospital has always been very active in the community. I for one, love the Halloween party they throw and so do my children. They have health fairs where I can get my blood and many other things checked and, while our doctors maybe leaving now, how many doctors do you think we will have if we have no hospital? The hospital sponsors clinics and gives a place for out of town doctors to come so we don't have to go to Statesboro or Savannah for specialists. Our hospital is a benefit to our community. I am just sorry our commissioners don't see that.
Tattnall Community Hospital has a lot of impact on our community. The hospital employs over 50 full-time staff with many other part-time employees. They spend their money here and it helps this community in supporting the local restaurants and stores.
The loss of the hospital will affect the quality of life of the people here. What happens if you have a heart attack or a car wreck or a bad asthma attack? Where will you go and how long will it take you to get there? In many instances time is importance and may mean the difference between life and death. This hospital may be small and have limited resources compared to Savannah, but for the services it provides it has top notch employees and technology that helps us to have healthcare close to home!!
If TCH closes their doors, Reidsville will become a ghost town. End of story.
I am an employee of Tattnall Comm. Hosp. I have been here for over 7yrs and I do not even live in this county and I fully support this hosp. All of my medical needs are met at the hosp. If the people in the community are so doubtful about the new company that has purchased us then don't talk about it come up here meet with them ask questions. They are very forthcoming and honest about their past ventures. I really think and believe with all my heart this little hosp has the ability to make a difference and also make money to pay back any $$$ advances that we may need now.
I am an employee here at the hospital and we are committed to helping keep this hospital going. We have cut our hours to help keep costs down. Also, we continue to come to work.....We might get here one day and after we have worked for 2 weeks, not have a check waiting for us, but we are doing all we can to support this hospital and community. Would any of you be willing to work 80 hours and not know if you were going to get paid??? Everyone sacrifices in order to have something good. Are the people of this community going to continue to put us down and talk bad about us or will you stand up and go to the commissioners and tell them you want something good and wonderful and you are willing to sacrifice for it?
This hospital supports this community, you live here, can you do anything less??
For the people that think that the hospital should close here is a news flash. All the departments that are in the hospital have showed all the patients that we want them to get better and that even if we have a bad day that we pull together to work as a team. The simple fact that we are pulling in new doctors is just showing that we want to build a more open relationship with any doctor that is welcome to join the team. As for the debt that Resurgence left the hospital with they shouldn't be let off the hook so easily. In just one week the hospital since Frontier has came in you can tell that there is a huge difference. It's a start of a new year which comes with new changes and if the people in Tattnall county will open up there eyes and realize just how lucky that for a small town to have a hospital it is should make a big difference.
Thank you supportive citizen of Tattnall County!!! One of the other facilities we saved was located in Greene County, GA (Minnie G. Boswell Hospital) while working for a greedy for profit corporation. David Byrns and myself separated from them due to money mismanagement that we felt should be reinvested back into the facility instead of the pocket of the owner. We did not have control but only performed the turn around and it can be attested to by the commissioners of that county and by Mr. Jim Lewis who is the President of the Rural Health Coalition for the State of Georgia. Please, folks, our doors are open for questions and concerns, we are located at 247 S. Main Street and will show you our corporate papers and how we are formed. To correct a few other misconceptions, #1 Dr. Smith had made plans to leave well before we got here and decided to honor his decision in spite of us trying to convince him to stay. #2 We have had a census of 14 or higher this entire week in spite of the embarrassing numbers a local editor failed miserably to check her numbers factually. #3 Our other doctor was not "fired" but will no longer be "employed" (on our payroll) to serve the community but hopefully will remain in this community and practice at our hospital as he still has had privileges extended to him and we have requested him to work in our ER to continue his well respected reputation in our County. #4 We are aggressively recruiting new MD's to employ in our ER that we will have better oversight over instead of doctors flying in and out of town without a community commitment as it has been in the past. Again, I thank all of you that have thought through this and most of all our employee's who are working so intensely through this process with us with patience and diligence.
Sincerely,
James M. Stanger, Jr., COO
Just to clarify my comments and article printed this week ... we, at the Journal, do not WANT the hospital to close. My only strong opinion in regards to the hospital is that I don't think the county and city should sign a bond in the amount that has been asked. It would be ideal if Frontier had their own investors or if a company or group of individuals could be found to back the hospital financially. I think the community as a whole certainly doesn't want to see an empty building in Reidsville. I would really like to do a story on someone who's life has been saved as a result of Tattnall Community. Not just that they recovered from an illness but someone who wouldn't be here today if the hospital wasn't there to treat them when they needed it immediately. If anyone knows someone who would be willing to share their story with the paper, please e-mail me and I would be happy to do this positive publicity for the hospital. We want to do what we can to support the hospital, I just don't believe that the county backing a bond is the way we should go right now.
Allison,
There are lots of stories....Trust me, I work here. I hope some of them come forward for you. Then you will know what we actually do here instead of just speculating in that newspaper of yours.
The citizens of this community need to be aware that without a hospital in this county many patients will not live to make it to another hospital. A small rural hospital is an aid to the larger hospitals in that they stabilize patients so they can be transferred to a larger facility. This county is a large county and a hospital is needed. There was an editorial written in another paper about how everyone had access to other hospitals just as easily as TCH, obviously not much research was done when that statement was made. The census issue of the hospital was also an over exaggeration. She can come by and visit each of the 18 patients in the hospital at this time if she would like to verify the census. This is a comparable number to Evans at this time. I am just so disappointed that our community as a whole does not see that this is something we need to stand strong on, that this is something we need to fight for and if it cost a little more in taxes, so be it. I cherish the lives of my children, spouse, parents, grandparents and friends more than I do a couple of dollars. I personally will do anything that I can to help this hospital stay open for our community. What are you going to do?
I think we, as the citizens of Tattnall County deserve to see a resume, background check, and credit check on the hospital's new owners.
If you want us to back a "new frontier," show us you care enough to put up some of your own money; or can at least get enough credit to cash flow the hospital until you can achieve a turnaround.
All the information about the new owners is available.... They have been very fothcoming about anything anyone wants to ask. Come to the hospital and ask!!! Quit complaining!! Oh, by the way, the new owners are paying for supplies out of their own pockets!!! How many supplies have you PERSONALLY paid for??? Don't count your taxes, we all pay that!!
Hey, we went to the halloween party too and had a great time. I like all the things the hospital does for us. Thanks TCH
I think we are not giving the new owners a fair shake. Ya'll are calling them names and almost accusing them of being thieves and we don't even know them. Although the picture in the paper could of been better. Who took that? I think the paper could have found something better what kind of photographers do ya'll have working over there?
Hey,I heard that somebody from the state wanted to buy the hospital and use it for prisioners. Is that true? If we let the hospital close, will it end up being a prision hospital in the middle of our town? Does anybody have any info on this? I don't know if I like the idea of having prisioners right where we have our parades and shop with our children.
It would seem that everyone has an opinion but not everyone has all the facts here. I work at the hospital and have an opinion but admit I do NOT know ALL the information, just what I hear and read. Not everyone who reports KNOWS what they are talking about. It is your responsibility to report facts is it not? If you want to make an intelligent remark perhaps you should collect ALL the FACTS and then make a sound decision. Also I am one of the people that HAS had her life saved at Tattnall Community Hospital, not once but twice. And my information is protected by HIPPA laws and not for sale or for some reporter to make a story out of it. Nothing is free not even hospital expenses. This is not a welfare enterprise operataed at 247 South Main Street. If the people want to keep the hospital open, they may have to pay for it just like they do for schools, roads, police, fire, and health safety departments. There is nothing in Reidsville to draw people to it for shopping, entertainment, fine dining, cultural or any unique interests. BUT, the hospital is a place people need to come to in urgent and emergency circumstances. The hospital employees contribute a huge amout of money to this community supporting the few resources you DO offer here. WE need YOU and YOU need US. I am not anonymous, I am fine with telling you my name is Angela Lynn Wolfe.
lol. Believe me, I'm not planning on PAYING anyone for their story. On the comment of the photos, let's remember there are two papers in the county. Our photos were fine. I don't want to confuse anyone. 2nd - I don't feel there is any reason to be rude towards reporters at this point. I do the best I can when reporting a story. Most of my story from Frontier involved quotes. You can't get much more factual than a quote from the new owners. And, yes, I did call Resurgence in an effort to get their side too. By the way, Philip Eastman has already sent in a letter to the editor which will run next week. It is always my goal to try and explain both sides in a story in a reasonable amount of space. This is a big story and involves a lot of things so having to write it all in one day to make the deadline can be difficult. The editorial is reserved for our OPINION and that's where I try to keep it.
Allison
Looks like the people who might be losing their jobs are really for Mr. Stanger ... bias maybe? ...I guess I would try to stick up for him too if I were losing my job ....
Why not close he hospital and send everything to either Claxton or Vidalia. That is where they refer 80% of patients that come through the doors anyway. Because they "DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER FACILITIES" to assist with you ailment. Such as: The common cold, a minor rash, a nagging headache or even a papercut. But be sure and use the ambulance service and be charged enormous rates for a 1-3 mile trip.
as an employee of the hospital, i applaud james and david for taking on a great deal of stress and debt. i was told that when a bill came due the other day that one of them handed the vendor his personal credit card information to process payment. i personally would not have done that if i did not have faith in what i was undertaking. in light of the current situation at the hospital, i think that resurgence is at fault here. if interested in what is going on, in an entry from a blog that i read, resurgence has the financial backing of a multi million dollar firm to "buyout" Sunlink healthcare systems based in atlanta. If resurgence has the backing of this firm, why would it leave the hospital in approximately 4 million dollar debt???? other hospitals that resurgence owns are currently in the same situation as tattnall community hospital. the hospital in terrell texas is slated to close in march. resurgence walked out on them just as quickly as they have walked out us. so with this to think about should we fault james and david for at least trying to make a difference or should we fault resurgence???
I think that was a bad comment...Nobady likes to lose their jobs. I'm sure you wouldn't either, but they have a point, do any of you have any facts or are you just complaining?
As for the paper, your pictures could have been better too and, some of your facts were wrong.. If you can't do your job by the deadline, maybe you should wait until the next deadline.
Also, you seem very defensive. Everything was wonderful when everyone was agreeing with you, but now that more information is coming out I feel you sqirming.
Those who are afraid to say their names are only protecting their identity to protect themselves from ramifications. Some of us "Anonymous" people are current employees.
I have been employed by this hospital since 2000, before the hospital reopened under Jim Burnette.
Jim Burnette was not a dishonest person, he just did not have the money nor the expertise to make a successful turnaround.
Resurgence purchased the hospital under foreclosure by the bank to keep from having to pay the debts from the former county hospital (which Jim Burnette) assumed, nor the debts accumulated under Jim Burnette's watch.
Resurgence purchased the hospital owing only the note to the bank and a Medicare liability (left by Jim Burnette), but stayed with the provider number.
I do not agree that a bond referendum is the proper method of financing for the new people to try to use to bail the hospital out, but I know Tattnall County has a population of 23,000 people and if you look at the volume of patients served, the hospital needs to survive with the support of the county and it's citizens.
Have some pride people, you have a nice hospital with a lot of new equipment and a lot of wonderful employees who support other community businesses.
Help to get doctors that have previously left our community to come back and use our hospital.
Frontier should go to the bank and request a personal credit line and fund the turnaround. They cannot make it without the community support and doctors to admit to the hospital.
Well, as to the "you're getting too defensive comment", let me know what my errors were in the article. I'd be glad to find out for future reference. And I could care less what you thought of the photos.
Allison,
Getting a little testy aren't we???
From what I have been reading, the hospital is worth about 2 million dollars, right? But the debt is 4 million. Can the county back a bond for 2 million? Would that be too unreasonable? That would get the hospital some money which should help but also not so much that we are struggling to pick up the slack if the hospital doesn't make it.
I really would like to see the hospital make it and I think the county needs to help if we want it here, but I also agree that 4 million is a lot of money.
Well, Tattnall Community Hospital, has sure enough lost my business now. I don't care to see a drunk doctor. And yes, I have been in the office when he was partners with another doctor, and heard him come through the back door cursing and being unruly because he was drinking. You could smell the alcohol on him. And what about the DUI's he has been arrested for? Tattnall Community sure has an ER doctor that I would not want to refer my pet to. My doctor is not longer affiliated with TCH and neither am I or any of my family. So sorry Scarboro, I hope you make it, and Dr. Ferrari good luck I will be traveling to wherever you will be going. And Frontier I sure hope you don't make it because you are cutting hours of poor people who can hardly make it on forty-hour weeks. You should of knew what you was getting into before you signed the dotted line, so I feel you got just what you deserve. And county commissioners, please don't help them because it is there own ignorance. They are for cutting jobs. I so just wish they would close the doors or get someone else to run it, that would leave the doctors, the clinics, and the hospital like it was before they took over.
I just can't believe Frontier would except a doctor with a family to work 24 hour shifts in the emergency room. I'm proud of you Dr. Ferrari I wouldn't do it either.
Frontier came in to help the people of Tattnall County keep their hospital open. That is their goal. They are there to succeed. They are the good guys. With that said, they are doing only what they do best. That is taking this hospital and turning it around to become one that will keep its doors open indefinitely. It’s hard stressful work, it’s time away from their families, but with the dedication and determination that they have, I believe they will succeed. What other company would pay for supplies using their personal credit cards? What other company would NOT take a salary? Does this sound like a company that wants to fail? Come on people, now is the time to stick together and help this company help your hospital. That is what they want. Isn’t that what YOU want?
Just in case anyone wanted to attend ... the Tattnall County Commissioners are having a called meeting Tuesday night, February 12 at 6 p.m. to make a decision on "the request for debt assistance for Tattnall Community Hospital in the form of a 4 million dollar bond." The meeting is open to the public and is held at the County Commissioners Office.
I work in Tattnall County but live in Toombs.I don't think closing the Hospital would be a very smart move on the people of tattnall county. But i also agree with some of the other bloggers..TCH is not a charity organization and people that go there and get treated should pay their bills and maybe these things wouldn't happen..oh Last time i heard what people do on their own time is their business whether they drink or not is not my business or anyone elses..go ahead and follow dr ferrari whereever he may go..then what you gonna do when you end up in a nursing home some where and he's your doctor..you will never see him again, because he don't seem to do nursing homes from what ive seen first hand..id rather have a doctor that drank and would be there in a pinch than one that didnt drink and i never seen
"Judge not lest ye be judged"
Dr. Scarborough is a wonderful doctor and is an asset to Tattnall County. He has been the only physician at Tattnall who has supported himself completely, while still maintaining a practice in Tattnall County and supporting the hospital.
I love Dr. Smith and Dr. Ferrari, too and it is the community's loss for their practices to not be continued.
I'm a citizens of Tattnall County
and a taxpayer and I care about our small town and if the Hospital close this town will become a
(GHOST TOWN),and the ones that has a business in this town you will also see the differents because the Employees of Tattnall Community Hospital will spend there money else where. Some of you should know that by now, far example when Harveys came to town some of the Grocers Store could see a differents, because lots of
citizens go's to Harveys, so if the Hospital close you will see more differents in your store not just the Grocers Store but all store in this town if you don't belive it let the Hospital close and you will see.
If you are a Citizens of Tattnall
County and a (EMPLOYEE OF TATTNALL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL),the next time they have a meeting how about you show up and have a say are if you don't say anything just show up and let people know you care about the Hospital and you want the doors to stay open. We do not need the doors to close at all. If it means getting someone else to run it will then lets all pull together and do something about it.
The pictures in the Journal were fine, and so was the story.
Maybe the other paper should have Photoshopped that man's eyes open. Then you wouldn't be complaining so much about something so insignificant.
To God be the glory. I have my faith in God from whom all blessings flow. I too am an employee of Tattnall Community Hospital and have been for almost four years. I love working here at TCH and I love my co-workers as well. To me, Tattnall Community Hospital is my second family. It's home away from home. It's sad that we're in the situation we're in but we're not to judge. Resurgence did leave TCH in a bad situation, "High and Dry," as it's been qouted in the local papers. So what... Are we to put the fault on the new owners? I think not. I think that 4 million dollars is a lot, but to me saving lives is PRICELESS!...
As an employee of TCH I'm not going to say we're perfect but perfection is our goal as a whole. We strive on that daily. Yes, there may have been some bad experiences for some patients, but isn't that at every hospital? If you go to some of the surrounding hospitals for ANYTHING... you will have a long wait. Here at TCH I know for a fact, there isn't too many patient's that come here that We don't know. Even our newest employees know our patient's. We have the BEST HOSPITAILTY THERE IS. I've lived in a major city for 12 years, and visited their major hospitals and got treated like I was just another patient.
Well... TCH speaks for itself. I personally apologize to whomever has come here and had a bad experience because that isn't our focus nor our intent. We love our patients and we love each other.
I'd hate to see the hospital close because I've seen the lives that were saved in the four years I've been working here, and yes, I've seen some lives passed away. My thoughts and prayers goes out to all those families, loved ones, and friends. (I mean that from my heart)
Through it all, our hospital showed love and concern. I'm sure alot of you have been through this "the hospital closing down," ordeal before. But how many of you think that it's time to not point fingers, and put off blame but help keep this community hospital opened? It's not just about keeping a job. I could lose my job right now, tomorrow, or next month. Right now, that's not what it's about with me, because if I wasn't an employee I still will support this hospital. Because this community really need it.
I put the faith of Tattnall Community Hospital not in the commissioners hands, nor the citizens. Not even in Mr. James and Mr. Davids',but I put Tattnall Community Hospital and all of my co-workers, and myself in the hands of the Lord.
God has brought us this far and He will take us on through this journey. So, for those of you that have faith and know the power of prayer. I'm asking, not begging, for you to take it to God in prayer for this hospital. I'm know there is a lot of praying folks here in Tattnall County. I fellowship with a lot of you(smile)
TO ALL OF MY CO WORKERS AT TATTNALL COMMUINTY HOSPITAL...
WE'VE GOT TO HAVE FAITH IN GOD AND NOT MAN. WE NEED TO PRAY TOGETHER AND KEEP WORKING AS A TEAM LIKE WE'VE BEEN DOING. WE DON'T HAVE TO GET ANGRY AT THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS MADE, BUT SHOW THEM THAT WE'RE DEDICATED TO MAKING IT WORK. SHOW THEM THAT WE ARE WHO WE SAY WE ARE "A TEAM". MR. JAMES AND MR. DAVID, I THANK GOD FOR YOU TWO TRYING TO TURN TCH AROUND MY PRAYER IS THAT YOU WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO SO.
No I will not leave my name, but if you come by the hospital you're sure to find me. Thanks,
A Proud Employee of
Tattnall Commuinty Hospital
Allison, it does seem like your're a little offensive but don't worry about it. There may come a time when you too could be in this same situation that the employees of TCH is facing "Jobless" and then you'll have a lot ot time to reach your deadline.
Has any one thought about the fact that if the hospital does close there will not be another company to come in to open it back up? Even with the great modifications that have occured over the past years, the building is sure to not meet code. that would mean the building would have to be taken down, and a new one to replace it would need be erect. Sure, that would be nice....., but who is going to but that kind of money into a county where the hospital has almost always fallin a hard times? No one! so the best bet the county has is to keep the current hospital open, turn it around, and then look into building a new building. the new owners are great guys. the county is a great county. putting two great things together could only mean wonderful things.
Maybe we should bring Mit Romney in here to help flip the hospital! He is great at that kind of stuff! Oh what, we don't have that kind of pull on such great people. Tattnall county can only push them away. Sounds to me like there might need to be a flushing out of the top brass! Is it not election year? maybe, there is no fear of removal for any of the county leadership. Leadership?! Where exactly are You Leading this county?
We moved here about ten years ago and have used the hospital on numerous occasions. We have always been treated like part of the TCH family. All of the employees work so hard at taking care of you to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Everyone knows their job and they know exactly how to do it. The food is always good and if it is supposed to be served hot, when you receive it, it is hot. If it is supposed to be served cold, it is cold when you receive it.
The rooms are always clean. The floors are mopped once to twice a day, the trash cans are emptied several times and you don't see any dust on the furniture.
I have been to the ER and they did all they could for me, but were not equipped to do what I needed so they called another hospital and they were waiting on me when I walked in the door.
When my husband had a heart attack they stabilized him and sent us on to Sav. by ambulance.
If our hospital were to close it would leave us all in a terrible mess not having a hospital in our county to turn to in time of need.
As I have recently heard someone say about the nurses "they are seasoned nurses" meaning they know how to do their job, they didn't just start it last week and they do it well. Several of them have been nurses for several years.
We have used the services of every department in the hospital and could not be more pleased with the treatment we received. We understand that TCH is not a big hospital like Savannah has, but by the same token, Savannah doesn't have the wonderful caring people that TCH has working for them. At TCH you are not just a number, you are a person and you will receive the best care possible.
Let's please try to keep our hospital open to take care of us for many years.
Thank you for letting me express my feeling on this matter.
ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO I HAD TO GO TO THE ER. I HAVE KNOW COMPLAINTS ON THE DOCTOR OR STAFF THAT NIGHT. I WAS QUITE SUPRISED. I HAVE HAD BAD TIME IN THE PASS AND WOULD NOT GO BACK TO TCH. I HAD TO THAT NIGHT BECAUSE I WAS IN TO MUCH PAIN. I WAS VERY SUPRISED AT THE DIFFERENCE.
REIDSVILLE IS ALREADY A GHOST TOWN. WE DO NOT NEED TO LOSE ANYTHING ELSE. WE NEED TCH AMONG OTHER THING. I THOUGHT THIS WAS A COUNTY HOSPITAL NOT A PRIVATELY OWN.
MAKE THE PEOPLE THAT OWE BILLS TO THE HOSPITAL PAY THEM. START COLLECTION ON THEM. THAT WOULD HELP ALOT
maybe if the county commissioners paid more attention to the day to day finances of the hospital and stayed on top of what resurgence was doing we wouldnt be in this position. it seems to me the county commissioners signed a bond a few years ago when the hospital was in a similar position and didnt do there job looking out for the best interest of taxpayers and citizens of this county.
In all fairness to the commissioners, yes, the hospital is privately owned and has been since 2000. They had no control over the finances of the facility. It would be just the same if we were talking about Rotary's finances or the finances here at the Journal.
Every community benefits from a local health care facility. It's important to be close to urgent care if it's ever needed. Clearly it is. I do agree with some here that taxpayers should not foot this bill. This is a private enterprise and should find a way to rescue itself.
Tattnall Community Hospital needs to make people want to go there. From what I read, it's not the first choice for many people. As a business, you have to make customers want to come to you and satisfy them. In a small area like Tattnall, you won't be around long if you don't do some things right. I have seen so many local businesses fail because they fail to see this logic. If you are a restaurant and your food isn't good, what makes me want to spend my money with you? If I know I can get better healthcare at another hospital, why would I waste my time and money at TCH?
Maybe the best thing for TCH to do is close, revamp, and re-open as a new, better hospital that serves the people of their community and makes the community proud to use it.
And yes, people need to pay their bills. The ER shouldn't be a clinic. Pay your bills, people!!
WELL FIRST OF ALL IT'S NOT THE HOSPITAL THAT'S MAKING ITSELF CLOSE IT'S THE OWNERS THAT HAD IT AND SOLD IT BUT LEFT IT WITH THIS DEBT. THE EMPLOYEES AND THIS COUNTY DESERVES A CHANCE. THEREFORE THE COMMISSIONERS NEED TO GET UP OFF THEIR HIGH HORSE AND RIDE ON TCH'S LEVEL. WHO KNOWS THEY MAY NEED TCH TO SAVE ONE OF THEIR LIVES OR SOMEONE IN THEIR FAMILY.
FAITH IS THE SIZE OF A MUSTARD SEED. SO... ON THAT NOTE. THE COMMISSIONERS NEED TO STEP OUT ON FAITH, DO THE RIGHT THING, AND HELP THIS HOSPITAL STAY OPEN AND LOOK TOWARDS A BRIGHTER TOMORROW. I'M NOT SAYING HAVE ALL FAITH THAT TATTNALL EMS WILL GET YOU TO THE NEXT NEAREST HOSPITAL BUT HAVE EVEN MORE THAT FAITH THE THEY'LL GET YOU HERE TO TCH!!!!...
Here is a thought for most of the citizens of Tattnall County. It seems that on Valentine's Day that there is always some kind of trouble that goes on at the High School. Just like a few years ago when they had a hit list scare. Where would the students and staff would go if there was a major shooting accident? It seems like to me that if something like was to really happen even though today they did find a gun at the high school that if that person did shoot another student or even a teacher the first place that they would carry person would be to the hospital. If the hospital was closed that person's very life would be in trouble. It's only 5 miles from the high school to the hospital and in that amount time that's person's life would be saved instead of a 15 minute wait or even a 30 minute wait to get to another hospital. The citizens need to think just how lucky we are to have the hospital open and this close.
Being Valentines’s Day today I feel I need to make a comment regarding what is happening to this little hospital. Of course I can only speak to what I know. I have not visited Tattnall Community Hospital, but I know it is loved by its employees. How do I know this? By the comments that some of them have written and by the current people trying to keep it open; James Stanger and David Byrns, my husband of 17 years. David and James left their families and other jobs to come to Georgia. They came to help keep this hospital open because they love what they do.This is what they are all about. They could have stayed in their current jobs earning a salary and seeing their families, but they know how important a critical access hospital can be to a community. In simple terms it could be the life or death of a loved one. They have seen this before and have helped keep those doors open for other hospitals. They were lucky then because the communities supported them and helped them. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. This is not a political forum. It is time to help one another keep Your hospital open. They want nothing more than to help you. As a Nurse for over 30 years I support him as well. I even got my nursing license for Georgia to help you. I don’t know any of you but I know from what I have heard from them that this is a wonderful.group of employees. You can’t ask for more than that. I ask you the government of this community to rally around your town and keep this hospital open for your citizens.
When I first started at TCH as a registered nurse it was in the ER. I cannot count the many lives we have saved in the ER for they are to many. We always provided quality care and went above and beyond to care for the patient. Yes, we don't have an up to date facility and equipment but we do save lives. The ER physicians always acted professional and provided top notch care. As for Dr. Scarborough, you will not find a more competent and compassionate physician.
I currently work in one of the clinics in Tattnall county, and I hope the citizens of tattnall realize that if the hospital closes so do the clinics. This means many patients will be left without access to any healthcare. Let's all hope and pray that a solution to this problem can be found before it is to late. I feel all of the employees of TCH are providing a much needed service to the citizens of Tattnall county.
Opinions are many but facts are sometimes few. Fact is Reidsville is a low volume community and it is hard to make any business work. Most citizens who could pay for the services are retired government employees(state, county, federal) who have good insurance and will travel to larger towns for their health care. You have a few local people that will use the hospital but mostly indigents. The hospital is a very needed facility in this area. To make it work will require outside assistance and that must be government supported business. It could be a satelite hospital off Dublin and Augusta Hospitals for veterans and a Georgia State Hospital for inmates. That will work. Until you do this the hospital will keep changing hands because of the low volume.
Financially a buyer should borrow his money from a higher government and not our local government.
Good collateral and being bonded for their debts is a good start. Too many businesses and people are fleeing from their obligations and not looking back.
To quote Paul Harvey, “now for the rest of the story.”
I was disappointed to read many of the blogs about Tattnall Community Hospital. Many are misleading, ill informed and untruthful. To set the record straight, until January 28th, Tattnall Community Hospital was owned by Tattnall Healthcare, LLC and operated under a management contract with Resurgence Health Group.
We operated Tattnall Community Hospital for seven years, assuming responsibility for the troubled facility in October 2001. The facility was bankrupt at that time, having recently been re-opened by a well meaning, but inexperienced newcomer to hospital management. TCH was on the brink of a second closure, ill-equipped, underserved by physicians and offered a very limited scope of services when we agreed to become involved in orchestrating a turnaround for the hospital. We invested millions of dollars into TCH, underwriting the recruitment of physicians and physician extenders, adding a CT, MRI, a new X-ray room and surgical services. These improvements were undertaken while providing care to an uninsured population of staggering proportions and with no financial assistance by the local government.
Tattnall Community Hospital requires on-site detailed operations from its owner/operator. We recognized that we would not be able to provide this level of involvement and still meet the needs of our other facilities – particularly in the face of declining indigent care reimbursement from the state, increasing demands on cash posed by providing care to an escalating uninsured population, and the abrupt loss of the prison business. After careful consideration of all alternatives, we decided to sell the hospital. Frontier Health, which was formed on January 17th, was the only interested party, but they had no source of financing the acquisition of the facility. All information regarding the past and current performance of Tattnall Community Hospital, financial statements, and current and long term debt was made available to Frontier Health for their review prior to the transaction. We did not withhold any information on the current operators of the hospital. Frontier made the decision to take on responsibility for TCH with full disclosure of any and all information upon their request and with straight forward and unambiguous contractual documents. We did not profit on the sale of Tattnall Community Hospital.
At Frontier’s suggestion, Frontier leased the building and equipment (rent payments are made in the form of payments to the secured creditors). Frontier Health purchased the accounts receivable, inventory, and provider numbers by assuming the accounts payable. In other words, with no cash down and without assumption of the long term debt they bought a hospital. They do have the option to purchase the building and equipment if they are successful in their endeavor. If they are not successful, they are not obligated to assume the long term debt. Not a bad deal….no down side, all upside and without any down payment.
We wish Frontier Health all the success. The problems of the hospital materialized only during the past year. Intense hands-on effort, time and money will fix these problems. We are no longer able to commit the time and effort required to ensure the success of the organization. Frontier Health will need the support, financial or otherwise, of the entire community to succeed. Tattnall Healthcare, LLC has gone so far as to offer the building and equipment to the County as collateral for a bond issue to assist Frontier Health in their quest for financing. With $10 million in annual expenses and $500,000 in monthly payroll, it will require more than a Visa card.
This newspaper’s disparaging remarks and inaccurate reporting cannot go unchecked. We have 20 years of successful rural hospital operations…turnarounds in all cases. We have never closed a hospital. Tattnall County cannot say the same. We operated Tattnall Community Hospital with no financial support from any government entity.
For the accurate record, we did operate a hospital in Terrell, Texas. We sold that facility in January 2007. At that time, we had three offers, one from Frontier Health, one from a doctor, who operated 3 other Texas hospitals, one of which was a Modern Healthcare “Top 100” rural hospital in the country. The third offer was from Renaissance Healthcare whose owner, Dan De La Garza, is a three time convicted felon serving time for drug smuggling and money laundering. We sold the hospital to the doctor…three days later he left town and Renaissance took over the operations of the hospital. YOU DO THE MATH.
We enjoyed our time in Tattnall County and take pride in the fact that we left the hospital in better shape than we found it. The facility enjoyed seven years of good financial performance under our operation, was able to re-invest in new equipment and physicians and provided quality care. If the community does not support the operator of the hospital, it will inevitably fail. We wish Frontier Health and the Tattnall Community Hospital staff the very best of luck in working to provide the best healthcare outcomes to the citizens of Tattnall County.

Dear wife, since you got your license to help us then please come down a take several shifts. Now that would be putting yourself where your mouth is. We look forward to working together to make this hospital GREAT !
TCH needs to be taken back and run from the county perspective. That way we wouldn't have people flying(literally) out of town with our money and/or selling it again in some secret transaction.
Phil,
Don't make me come out of the closet and bust your lies wide open. Just go away quietly and let the chips fall where they may.
Dear Anonymous @ 2/18/06
Disclosure does not require anonymity. show your self and tell what you know. the truth will set you free.

Phil,
Let me get this straight. Are you saying that you did not overcharge medicare/medicaid, and other insurances, leaving the hospital to pay over a million dollors in these overcharges? These debts will have to be paid off before anything else. Are you saying that you did not leave several venders that have supplied the hospital with open acounts that have not been paid in at least 3 or more months?
I understand that in the name of saving the hospital you are going to put the hospital property up as collateral for a 4.5 million dollor loan. This is a very nice thing to do, considering that the property in question is worth less than half of the debt your company has accrued.
Don't get me wrong. I, for one, am glad that you came and helped this hospital out in its time of need. I am just not clear when your company went from the saving of this hopital, to not disclosing when the hospital was in financial trouble to the public. These debts had to have taken some time to accumulate.
Did we really need the new front to the hospital when the heating and air-conditioning needed fixing?
Did we really need the new front when the vendors weren't getting paid? Why make the front look good and then throw a party to show how well the hospital was doing and then sell it with a multi-million dollor debt? It just doesn't make sense.
What happened to the grants that were suppose to go toward the new front? I understand a $250,000 loan was taken out for the front. What happened to the grants for the new beds? Several grant monies that were suppose to go toward the repair of the hospital have not been utilized in the way that they were meant to be.
I understand that you want the truth out there. So instead of telling us what good you did, how about telling us where the money went, and how the hospital ended up this way.
Phil
In the above comments, asking you to clearify your statemen, I should have used Resurgence in place of you. I understand that is the company Resurgence that is at question, not you directly.
Someone told me that Dr.Ferrari not leaving he will still be with Tattnall Community Hospital & he will still be working at the Glennville Clinic, I don't know who change his mind but who every did, far once did something right. because you'll have a great Doctor and if Dr.Ferrari had left all his patients would had went where every he went that has happen before and it will keep. Just to let you'll know you do have good Doctors, (DON'T FORGET (DR.OH), Dr.Oh is a great Doctor also he has been at the Hospital over (30yrs) that should show everyone that Dr.Oh believe in the Hospital are he wouldn't still be there. (Dr.Ferrari, & Dr.Scarborouah, are good doctors also and Dr.Smith was a good Doctor, but I think he still leaving and I'm sorry because Dr.Smith I will miss you as a Doctor and as a friend and Debra most of all I will miss you, because when I was down you would know what to say to me to make me laugh and feel good about myself so where every you go please write me, and maybe one day we will make it to the beach & shopping.
I can tell that a lot of misinformed people are making comments that they know nothing about. There never was a grant to renovate the front of the hospital nor was there a grant to purchase new beds. Grants that Tattnall was awarded were always used as required and reported back to the state, HRSA or whomever. Some of the Grant funds awarded and were used to purchase the original CT equipment, mammography equipment, renovations associated with getting the CT room ready for the installation and the new telemetry equipment. All grants ever awarded were used as required.
At the time the construction loan was approved for the front of the building, the hospital debts were being paid and the cash flow crises had not developed. The beds were financed under an operating lease and purchased during a time before the cash flow crises.
One day the entire truth will come out. But for now people should not make random comments without knowing the facts.
For now, I prefer to remain Anonymous.
THE TRUTH IS COMING OUT SLOWLY BUT SURELY. TO THE ABOVE COMMENT, PEOPLE ARE JUST STATING HOW THEY FEEL. I WORK AT TCH AND I HEARD THAT THERE WAS GRANT MONEY FOR THE FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL AND OTHER NECESSITIES BUT... IT WENT ELSEWHERE AND NOT COMPLETELY ON THE HOSPITAL. THAT WAS HEARD OUT OF THE HORSES MOUTH BY THE WAY.
THERE IS SO MUCH CONFUSSION ON THIS WHOLE SITUATION UNTIL IT SICKEND A LOT OF US. INSTEAD OF TALKING ON THIS BLOG AND BASHING OUT TO ONE ANOTHER IN SECRET WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER FIRST BY PRAYING TOGETHER. WE'LL SPEND THE REST OF OUR LIVES POINTING FINGERS WHEN LIVES WILL BE LOST TRYING TO GET TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL BECAUSE WE WERE TOO BUSY POINTING FINGERS.
I AGREE WITH DAVID'S WIFE. WE SHOULD PROTEST AND STAND UP FOR THIS HOSPITAL AND THIS COMMUNITY TO HELP KEEP THE HOSPITAL OPENED. IT'S CLEAR AS DAY THAT "PHIL," AND HIS RESURGENCE FAMILY (WHOMEVER AND WHEREVER THEY ARE) DON'T CARE BECAUSE IF THEY DID THEY WOULD NOT HAVE LEFT LIKE THEY DID WITH A PILE OF LIES TO COVER IT UP. BUT WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO FOCUS ON THEM WHAT'S DONE IS DONE WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD AND MAKE IT WORK WITH TCH STAYING OPENED.
ONE MORE THING WE DON'T NEED TO KNOCK EACH OTHER DOWN EITHER WE MUST AND HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER. GOD HAS OUR BACK!... THE QUESTION IS DO WE HAVE HIM?...
I TOO CHOSE TO BE ANONYMOUS
THAT'S A GOOD POINT THAT SOMEONE MENTIONED ABOUT THE SCHOOL SITUATION. THEY DID FIND A GUN ON ONE OF THE STUDENTS THAT HAD INTENTIONS OF SHOOTING A TEACHER. NOW LET'S SAY THAT HAPPENED AND TCH WAS CLOSED. THAT TEACHER(S) OR STUDENT(S) COULD HAVE DIED IN ROUTE TO THE NEXT NEAREST HOSPITAL. OUR COMMUNITY REALLY NEED TO THINK ABOUT THIS AND THE COMMISIONERS AGAIN NEED TO STEP UP AND START HELPING A LITTLE MORE THAN WHAT THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB OF MONITORING THE LAST TIME. SO WHY NOT MAKE UP FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW? REMEMBER IT IS ELECTION TIME...
Dear Wife:
Please don't pay attention to that sarcatic person that answered you. Please come to the hospital and join us in saving this much needed facility. We welcome the fact that you are interested in becomeing part of our community and getting to know us. We are not all mean spirited as that above mentioned person.
Whatever Phil .. you aren't worth the words
As a former employee of The Hospital. I do not want to see it closed again. It probably will never reopen. And me& my husband was on The task force to get The hospital reopened. I notice the ones who are hollering the loudest now was no where around when we were trying to get the hospital reopened, except for The Tattnall Journal &the Sentinel. And If The County did such A great job managing The Hospital, Why did it close the first time? They are several friends who still work at the Hospital and need there jobs! but squabbling over who done this or that will not keep the Hospital open. we need to Pray To God to send someone that can do something other than say they did this or that and others claim They can make it work if They only had the money! They Need A plan And when The Present Company who has leased the hospital said they did not intend to move to Tattnall County,That shows how much confidence they Have! And Allison I think you are doing a Great Job!
Okay enough is enough. I am so tired of hearing so many different rumors. Isn't it about time the taxpayers know what is going to happen to the hospital. No one uses it anyway, but I heard the county commissioners was thinking about taking it back. Does anyone even know is it going to close or is it going to stay open?
WOW!! So many comments and so little facts! People do you homework before running off at the mouth! I do believe the hospital should be here....but maybe not in the capacity it is now. Has anyone considered the idea of an emergent med? Yes, we need a Emergency room with lab and x-ray, but do we need beds...maybe for swing bed and respite ...or maybe assisted living like Evans did. I have been in healthcare for over 15 years and many of those at TCH, but with the coming decline in grant money and increase in indigent care patients, you have to look at new angles. In a few years, there will be no grant assistance...it will be going to the rural trauma centers(MRMC, EGRMC,Wayne Co.) All rural hospitals are hurting and it will only get worse. The government is going to continue to cut reimbursements for the smaller hospitals. Liberty County recently cut 60 jobs and we all saw Memorial in Sav. cut 150. People wake up and realize healthcare is not the same from 20 years ago. I can assure you there are many lies that have been told, cover ups, I am sure on both sides (and yes, I have spoken with both)! Revamping the facility into something else only makes sense. It is obvious you are only going to get small efforts of support from the county. I am not blaming the commissioners for lack of efforts.....look around the county and do your own survey...you will see people don't and have no intentions of using this place, only if they have a major emergency and the EMS takes them there. Speaking of which, the comments of the pricing of the EMS, They are NOT a taxi! Do your homework on what there jobs consist of and the training they go through to save your life or help you in time of need! They too, were raped by Resurgence, They lost thousands in PTO time. All lost. Who is going to give that back? No use crying over spilled milk, but who is going to clean it up? That is the question! Personally, I don't feel it is my responsibility as a tax payer. Let the hospital go bankrupt! I promise you there are groups looking and waiting for this to take place. Why would someone buy it for the debts, when it is only valued at half? That makes no business sense! There are groups waiting for the doors to close and then they will purchase the facility for the worth and start fresh...that is good business sense. That unfortunately is what will happen, because people refuse to use the facility that is closest to them. a business can't operate without customers....and TCH has no customers to break even.....that is sad. Believe me people, with RHG out of the way, we are better off, but I can't say we are any better with Frontier. The research has been done on Greene county....and what was said was not positive.....something to the effect of they were ran off after a few months......do your own research not everyone sings there praise.....just my personal opinions based on facts...you decide for yourself.
God works in mysterious ways and the power of prayer works. I know that something great is in store for the hospital and the citizens of Tattnall County.
Well, has anyone heard that the
hospital has changed ownership again?
YES. THANK'S TO OUR FATHER GOD!!... HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE OUR ALPHA AND OUR OMEGA. THANK YOU FATHER FOR SENDING NEW OWNERS TO TCH. I PRAY THEY STAY, THEY CLEAN IT UP, AND LET GOD CONTINUE TO GUIDE THEM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTIONS WITH THIS.
PEOPLE, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT PRAYER CHANGES THINGS BECAUSE THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER. GOD HAS A FUTURE FOR THIS HOSPITAL AND FOR THIS COUNTY. SO...AS LONG AS GOD IS FOR US WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?
LET'S KEEP ON PRAYING, THERE'S A LOT MORE MOVEMENT NEEDED IN THIS COUNTY.
PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR SENDING THE ONE AND ONLY MRS. KAREN O'NEAL BACK TO TCH. I PRAY GOD GUIDES HER AND GIVES HER THE STRENGTH TO FULFILL HER DESIRES OF PROSPERITY FOR THE HOSPITAL FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR LONG YEARS TO COME.
MRS. O'NEAL WELCOME BACK!... GOD BLESS YOU!...
Yes we will survive once again, I guess prayers are really answered to people who really beleive. And for all you people who put us TCH down and said our hospital needed to close that we were no good. I wish we had a way of knowing so that when you or your family walked through that door we could refuse to treat you because you did not beleive in this LITTLE HOSP. and its employees. But you thats the way we are here we treat everybody no matter how big a biggot you are. SO FOLKS STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPES AND SMOKE IT.!!!! TCH WILL RISE UP AGAIN YAHOO.
TO THE LAST COMMENT. I DON'T THINK THAT YOU SHOULD RASH OUT TO THOSE WHO DIDN'T BELIEVE IN TCH LIKE YOU HAVE. THAT'S NOT SETTING A GOOD VIBE FOR US EMPLOYEES. WE HOLD A BETTER ATTITUDE THAN THAT. PLEASE ALSO, DON'T COUNT YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCH WE'RE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET. JUST KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE WITHOUT THE NEGATIVE AND BASHING OUT. GOD'S HAS IT ALL IN CONTROL AND REMEMBER THOSE WHO DON'T WANT TO SEE TCH PROSPER IT'S OKAY. WHAT GOD HAS FOR US IT IS FOR US.
I hope and Pray that The Hospital will stay open now. I do not know the paticulars yet, but according to The Tattnall Jounal,They will let us know in next week's paper.ANd WE SHOULD THANK GOD!!!!!!But be carefull whom else you thank!Karen O'neal may have been a good CEO, That is to each person's opinion. But I seem to recall she was an employee of Resurgance! She may not think much of them now. But she was (ONE OF THEM NOT LONG AGO). She has stated she would correct some of the wrong things that Resurgance made her do. So she should be given time and then we will see if she keeps her word. But we should not worship ANY MAN OR WOMAN! God should be praised and if this new venture is of God, It will make it.I hope and pray it is OF GOD,Because we need the hospital not only for the medical part, But to keep hard working individuals that has given most of thir professional life to the Hospital! We need GOD fearing People who want to see this community isn't lied to again like it has been so many times before.
So sorry for the contention noted in past comments. We at Tattnall Community Hospital are so very pleased and thankful of our most recent turn of events and we do not want any these comments to reflect in any way our feelings towards the community, those that were supportive and those that were not.We are looking forward with great anticipation to the new and improved healthcare that will be available to all tattnall county citizens, and we hope you will put your confidence in us to give you, our community, the best healthcare you deserve. Sincerely, Beth Durrence
I hear Phil Eastman is at it again ! Lookout everyone ! And, let's not forget that Anne Thompson is apart of this too !
i'm looking out, but it's not for the previous owners. don't you remember? if God be for us, who can be against us? so let's keep the faith and not be fearful.let's keep looking for great things to come!! beth
If the snakes would crawl back into their holes for a while; we would have time to straighten out the mess created by Resurgence and Frontier.
From employees of Tattnall Community Hospital.
LOOK, I DON'T KNOW WHICH EMPLOYEE YOU ARE, THAT KEEPS TALKING NEGATIVE AND UNHAPPY. BUT PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T SPEAK FOR ALL EMPLOYEES. ALOT OF US ARE IN SUPPORT FOR THIS CHANGE. IF YOU'RE SO UNHAPPY THEN WHY WORK HERE? WHY BE A PART OF OUR TEAM? GO WHERE YOU FEEL YOU WILL BE HAPPY. MOST EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER AS A TEAM, WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO FIGHT AGAINST EACH OTHER. DON'T YOU KNOW THAT'S WHAT THE ENEMY WANTS? MRS. BETH IS RIGHT; I'VE MENTIONED IT BEFORE ALSO. "WITH GOD FOR US NO MAN CAN BE AGAINST US!..." ALL WE NEED IS FAITH IN GOD THAT IF IT'S HIS WILL BE DONE FOR THIS HOSPITAL THEN IT SHALL COME TO PASS. GOD HAS BROUGHT US THUS FAR AND HE NEVER LEAVES NOR FORSAKE ANY OF US WE LEAVE HIM...
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO COMES BACK TO WORK HERE AT THIS HOSPITAL OR WHO LEAVES, GOD IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE IN THE MIST OF IT ALL. HE'S THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA OF THIS HOSPITAL AND ALL OTHER THINGS IN HIS EARTH.
WE HAVE A LOT OF PRAYING CITIZENS HERE IN TATTNALL COUNTY AS WELL AS CO WORKERS HERE AT TCH. JUST GRAB ONE OF THEM BY THE HAND, START A PRAYER AND ASK GOD TO HAVE MERCY ON US AND LEAD US TO DO WHAT HE HAS SET FORTH FOR US TO DO.
I LOVE EACH OF YOU AND I LOVE TCH. LET'S LET GO AND LET GOD!...
TO THE INTERESTED:
JUST A THOUGHT.
I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE HOSPITAL AND ITS FUTURE. I DO KNOW THE POWER OF PRAYER AND THE CAPABILITIES OF GOD, OUR TRUSTWORTHY LEADER AND CREATOR.
BUT....ASK YOURSELF, WHAT IS THE LAST LETTER IN THE WORD WORRY?
"Y", JUST A LETTER RIGHT?, NOPE, A QUESTION IN ITSELF. "Y" WORRY IF GOD IS PUT FIRST? THE BIBLE SAYS NOT TO WORRY. IT SHOWS LACK OF FAITH IN OUR CREATOR AND LOVER. THE ONE WE PRAY TO EVERYDAY FOR HELP. WHY PRAY IF YOU ARE GOING TO WORRY? OK, WHAT IS THE FIRST THREE LETTERS IN THE WORD WORRY? "WOR", PUT "SHIP" BY THAT AND YOU HAVE CREATED "WORSHIP". WORSHIP AND TRUST YOUR CREATOR, HE KNOWS BEST. TAKE "SHIP" AND APPLY IT TO YOUR OWN SELF, CONSIDER YOURSELF A "SHIP" AND LET GOD BE YOUR CAPTAIN AND THE WORD, OR ILLUSION OF WORRY WILL NEVER EXIST.
JUST GOES TO SHOW IF YOU WANT, YOU CAN TURN A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE. I CHOOSE TO.
TO THE COUNTY- MONEY IS MONEY, AND IF YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR APPOINTED SEAT IN THIS COUNTY THEN YOU SHOULDNT HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS SUPPORTING A GOOD THING,"TCH", BECAUSE MONEY IS CONSTANTLY COMING INTO OUR COUNTY. I DONT WANT TO JUDGE YOU OR YOUR DECISION MAKING, BUT FROM A OUTSIDER'S POINT OF VIEW YOU ACT LIKE THESE MONIES ARE COMING OUT OF YOUR POCKETS, WHEN IT IS COMING OUT OF EVERYBODY'S. I DONT WISH ANYTHING ON YOU OR YOUR AFFILIATES, BUT I DO HOPE THAT AT SOME POINT IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF "YOUR" LOCAL HOSPITAL.
TO PHIL, ANNE, THE MIDGET, AND WHOEVER ELSE HAS HAD THEIR HANDS ON THIS PLACE....PLEASE JUST STAY AWAY...THE HOSPITAL SHOULDNT EVEN BE ANY OF YOUR CONCERN ANYMORE, THE HOSPITAL WILL BE FINE FOR THE RIGHT HAND OF MERCY FROM OUR GREAT GOD IS IN CONTROL...HOWEVER, I DO WISH HAPPINESS AND PROSPERITY TO YOU AND YOURS.
ALL IN ALL, TAKE ME FOR WHAT I AM...JUST ANOTHER OPINION, BUT I WISH THE BEST TO TCH AND ITS EMPLOYEES.
