City of Collins

I will like to start a new topic about the town of Collins. I have recently relocated to Ga, but used to spend every summer since I was an infant with may grandparents in Collins. I am bothered by the lack of progress in the town. When I was a child coming down for the summer, I remember the town had more stores and people took better care of their homes and land. I think I am so upset because Collins was always a place of good times and memories for me. It seems like most of the attention is being paid to reidsville and glennville in terms of development. I want to do something to make a positive change in the town, but I am not sure what. I hope this comment will be posted as a first step. I also hope I get some responses from people who care about the town as much as I do. In addition, I would like to know if Collins has a mayor, or who is in charge of making the decisions for the town. I have look online but can not find the information I am looking for. I have the phone number for city hall and will be calling as soon as I finish this post.
