New Posts

Unfortunately, the blog is not like a forum so readers can't just "publish" a new blog topic. BUT ... we want this to be open for everyone so, if you have a new topic you'd like to see started here, just send me an e-mail at allisoncobb@yahoo.com OR you can send an anonymous comment under this post (like all of the comments are) and let me know that it is a new post topic and I'll be glad to start it for you! I really need your ideas to keep this thing fresh and on target with what's going on in the county! Thanks for all the input!

The Tattnall Journal has come a long way since I read it in the 1950's. You guys are doing a wonderful job. I especially appreciate your new online information.

Thanks, John! I wish I had more time to spend on our website because I'm really excited about what the possibilities are for the future of the online newspaper. I am going to make myself sit down one day soon and block out everything and just focus on the web page. Keep checking it and thanks for reading!

will someone PLEASE take that rediculious (spelled wrong but live with it!) hat off the ticket taker at the TOS. All the years I went there and saw movies, not even Godzilla was as funny. Downtown is really looking better but what we really need is more business and less empty windows. Also can't Shady Grady find a better way to advertise his wares. His clutter really ruins the look of the street. It would be nice if some of the owners of the buildings would accept a lower rent and have the businesses there than be so greedy, which is getting them nowhere now. there are some people who would like to open a small business but simply cannot afford the overhead. It is so sad that Reidsville has been reduced to junk shops and thrift stores, and desperate looking individuals trying to sell REALLY USED CLOTHING out of their cars. what a sad future for a beautiful old town. I grew up here and moved after Graduation. I was gone for many years, upon returning, the first landmark I saw was the Goodwill Box!! Look around people and lets get our town back!!!

Let's discuss the cost of prescription drugs! Even the insurance co-pay! Mexicans are coming in getting Medicaid and getting it for free while we are having to pack up in bus loads to go to Mexico and purchase it in order to afford it. Why are our prescriptions in the US so expensive????
